The wound expands until it becomes environment.

The Listener exists inside something vast, impersonal, and metabolizing. Time loops. Labor continues. Pain becomes the last reliable signal of being real. Fight-or-flight never shuts off, but has nowhere to go.

The narration persists with clinical precision as consumption accelerates. Observation becomes the final act of resistance. To describe what is happening is to delay disappearance by seconds at a time.

By the end of this chapter, the question is no longer survival. It is implication.
